"Hi, I'm Scott of Front and Center Mics.
As a harp player, I've owned several mics. Some were ok, but many felt too awkward for harp playing, and the sound just wasn't what I was looking for. I have worked with instrument design, especially dulcimers, improving the
sound quality. This lead me to work on a design for a better harp mic. I've worked for a couple of years, trying different elements and shell
sizes, till I found the right combination. Thanks for taking the time to
visit our website. I hope you the love the mics as much as I love making and using them."

- Each block of wood, either rare or domestic, has its own design, giving each harp mic a "one of a kind" appearance
- The circumference of every harp mic allows for a tighter seal when cupping for fat tone distortion
- Our harp mics are light and easy to hold. Weight varys between 2.5 ounces and 4 ounces, depending on the type of wood used
- Each harp mic has a double gasket system, providing a proper seal, so that the harp mic will perform with the full sound it is capable of and keep mic handling noise to a minimum
- Each mic is hand carved from a single block of wood
- Front and Center Mics allow for high levels of volume with excellent feedback resistance
- NOS vintage crystal element (circa 1980's)
- NOS vintage Turner ceramic element (circa 1970's) NEW
Sound clips were produced using a Harmony 420 amp, a single 15" Jensen speaker. Amp settings were at the same level for each sound clip.

- I'm really excited to introduce our new product line, Front and Center Dulcimers. I'm a big fan of both the Blues and Mountain music. I chose instruments and equipment that were used in both genres of music when delving into the world of instrument building.

Testimonials
RONNIE SHELLIST, USA
"Front and Center Mics are hands down the best mics that I have played so far...(the mic) allows me to carve my tone and hear what I'm playing on stage... I get my sound and never have to worry about feedback at all... I feel like I have a secret weapon every time I plug into your mic and play."
LEON, AUS
"I've just finished playing through my Sonny Jr. 410, and man, it sounds even warmer than it looks, but still breaks up nicely and can really bite when you want it to. Don't get me wrong, I have a fantastic mic, made by one of the top mic builders, that can sound sweet and really kick too, but yours is something else, besides the beautiful tone, the timber and the light weight feels so nice in my hands, and it is so controllable. My Sonny Jr. 410 is hard to get to get feedback, but with your mic, its impossible.
Thank you Scott for creating my new favorite Harp Mic."
